What is the Under the Sea School Holiday Workshop?
Just like our Superstars Circus and Jungle Theme Holiday Workshops, our Under the Sea Workshop is an exciting, new take on our school holiday music program. Started by ARIA award-winning sisters Christine & Sharon Muscat, the founders of The Sister2Sister School of Singing, our holiday programs are three days of music-based fun.
Inspired by our regular music and singing lessons that run during the school term, we’ve created this holiday format to continue the experience into the break. It is intended to encourage singing, dancing and acting in an interactive three-day event. It is also perfect for parents who may continue to work in the holidays or want to get the kids out of the house for a few days.
Each holiday workshop has a different theme. With this holiday’s being Under the Sea, it is time to bring out your snorkels and mermaid costumes because we’re going for a dive this holiday! We encourage all students to dress up for our fun-filled “Shake it Off” Dance Party at the end of each day.
Who can join the workshop?
Catering to primary school children, our Under the Sea holiday workshop is available to children ages 5-9 years and 10-12 years.
Managed by the regular team behind our music school in Sydney, our workshop is run by our certified teachers and tutors. Across the three days, we will use age-appropriate music and activities to keep the kids focused and entertained.
Each member of our team has years of experience and is heavily involved in a variety of our classes throughout the school term with children the same age. We know exactly what the kids want to hear and how we can keep them interested in our activities.
While we encourage existing Sister2Sister School of Singing students to join in on the fun, we also extend our workshop to any child interested in music. This means inviting friends and siblings to join in on the fun too!
What is the schedule for the Under the Sea School Holiday Workshop?
Our Under the Sea Theme Holiday Workshop will be held across three days – July 10-12, 2023.
The workshop kicks off at 9 am, with the kiddies beginning each day with our “Act It Out” musical theatre singing, dancing and acting classes. Blending these three different performing arts is a great way to start the day and get everyone energised!
Next stop – the “Sing It Loud” vocal workshop! This is where the kids can sing to their heart’s content. Then when the singing is all done, it is time for lunch to refuel and rest quickly before the next activity. On the last day, we even have a pizza lunch to celebrate our fun-fuelled days together!
After their break, drama lessons are next on the list with our “Lights Camera Action” workshop. This is the time for the kids to put their acting skills to the test.
Then, we finish the day with a bang! It is time for our “Shake it Off” Dance Party! We let the kids ‘shake it off’ and dance it out before they go home.
